Objectives:
- Students will be welcomed to the Practicum, acquaint with each other and mentors. Review expectations and promote excitement about the “why” of the Practicum including Spring Garden Fair, and set the happy, cooperative tone for the experience.
- Students will review seed parts and their purpose in the germination process.
- Students will learn the importance of information available on seed packets and in seed catalogs. They will also learn the importance of keeping records for their home gardens.
- Students will become acquainted with the MGP facilities, especially the location of the garbage dumpster, and the recycling dumpster.
