Practicum – Week 6

Lessons:

• Comparison of MGP Planting Mixes/Soil Texture
• Greenhouse Management and Hygiene (Part 3) – Integrated Pest Management

Objectives: 

• Students will determine different and similar ingredients in the soil mixes regularly used in the MGP.  Students will understand soil texture and its properties, as well as how to determine the soil texture in their own garden.
• Students will learn effective greenhouse hygiene by using the checklist for Integrated Pest Management and Greenhouse Hygiene Guidelines.
