Greenhouse Management and Hygiene (Part 3) – Integrated Pest Management
Objectives:
Students will determine different and similar ingredients in the soil mixes regularly used in the MGP. Students will understand soil texture and its properties, as well as how to determine the soil texture in their own garden.
Students will learn effective greenhouse hygiene by using the checklist for Integrated Pest Management and Greenhouse Hygiene Guidelines.

In preparation for a future assignment: Watch this YouTube video below, “Understanding Soil Types and Textures”. Note: You will be sampling soil from your yard or garden next week for Session 7’s homework and bringing in your completed jar of soil to your Practicum for Session 7.
