Recording Secretary (Term 1 Year)
Emma Holt
I would love the opportunity to
become more integrated in the JCMGA and gain a better understanding of how
things work behind the scenes. This community is so valuable to me and also to
the community at large. I hope that I can be a greater part of it and assist in
the JCMGAs mission. I was going to a Member at Large to learn the process of
JCMGA, but when there was an open position for Recording Secretary. I discussed
it with Linda and after reviewing the By-laws I believe that being Recording
Secretary for the Board would be the right fit for me.
Membership Secretary (Term 1 Year)
Ann Ackles
I would like to serve
the Jackson County Master Gardner’s Association in 2026 as Membership
Secretary. I fully understand the job after refining the
process over the past two years. Over this
past year I have found The Members Services Workgroup most helpful to help
advise and help edit. I believe the team approach
produced a better Directory this year. I would like
to train a new person this year so I can pass on this role for 2027. Thank you for your consideration, Ann Ackles
Keltie Nelson
I
have been the Treasurer for JCMGA for the last two years and was the Assistant
Treasurer for the two years prior. I enjoy helping JCMGA with their financial
and accounting needs so would be happy to have your vote.
Annette Carter
I am
interested in being the assistant treasurer because I have enjoyed working with
JCMGA since 2014. I was treasurer for 7 years, so I am familiar with the
process. I enjoy working with Keltie. I would like to be back on the board
again to keep up with what we are doing on a more direct level.
Colet Allen
When I moved from Idaho to JCMGA, I was curious about the
role of OMGA. Upon asking, I was initially told that OMGA did nothing. This did
not seem accurate to me, so I took it upon myself to discover their true
purpose. The best way to learn was through involvement, so I joined one of
their working groups, the planning committee for the Joy of Gardening program.
Through this experience, I gained valuable insight and recognized the
significant ways OMGA supports Master Gardeners throughout Oregon. This participation
also became another avenue for outreach. I enjoy my role with OMGA and hope to
continue as JCMGA OMGA Rep.
Archivist and Co-Archivist (Vote for 2)
Carrie Holmes-Stanton
Class of
2023. I would like to become more involved in this wonderful Master Gardener
Organization and help however I can. Being an archivist for the board would be
an opportunity to provide a support function while becoming familiar with the
inner working of the group. I have been on a Board before for the Southern
Oregon Rental Association and enjoy contributing by being a part of a process
that helps guide a larger organization. I look forward to preforming the
function of archivist which includes maintaining document archives and proving
oversight and management of archival documentation, whether by hard copy filing
or drop box.
Teresa Jarrett
Class of
2023. I am a retired nurse, with a previous career in the business world. With
my background I understand the importance of documentation. To be able to
retrieve that information it must be stored in an organized and easily
retrievable manner. I would be
Interested
in either an archivist position, with a stronger inclination toward the digital
filing. It would be a pleasure to assist JCMGA in this endeavor.
Members at Large (5 open Positions - Select up to 5)
Erin
Galbraith
I wish to continue
serving on the JCMGA Board after my role as Co- Student Representative ends.
With a decade of experience on the Friends of Ruch Library board, I bring a
strong background in governance and community engagement.
As a low-income
disabled person living in a rural area, I offer a unique perspective on
outreach and accessibility. I also look forward to contributing my creativity,
photography, and social media skills.
Passionate about
nature, volunteering, and education; I enjoy sharing my observations of
insects, wildflowers, nature, and gardening. I find fulfillment in translating
that passion into action.
I am a careful
listener, and I am not afraid to share opinions that may spark important
discussion. Thank you for your
consideration.

I
have been a Master Gardener since 2017 and have loved being involved in many
projects and committees over the years. My volunteer experience includes
serving as a Practicum Mentor, assisting in the Spring Garden Fair, Marketing
& Communications Working Group, Demonstration Gardens, and Member Services
Working Group. I currently serve on the Revision Committee for the Garden Guide
for the Rogue Valley. Each of these experiences has given me the opportunity to
learn, grow and connect with fellow gardeners. I believe this background will
help me to assist and support the JCMGA Board of Directors as a Member at
Large.
Sandy
Hammond
My name is Sandy
Hammond. I graduated in the class of 2015. I have been co-chair and chair of
several Spring Garden Fairs.
Also past chair for
several years of the Fundraising Committee. I have been a past board member for
6 years. There have been tremendous changes in our Assn. Some for the good
and some for not so good. The wonderful and competent board has met all
challenges head on with determination and always the effort to keep JCMGA
the greatest Master Gardener group in the state. I will once again try to do my
part in continuing it that endeavor.
